WHY I SHARE MY STORY
I write for those people, like me, who continue to work full-time and have the primary responsibility to keep the world turning for their families. It is a very lonely place to have a child diagnosed with a disability and not be surrounded every day with a systematic infrastructure that can help you; to piece together all the disparate places of help, information, support and rules into some common thread that can help you build a plan for your child’s needs.
This is my experience of what I learnt over the course of the last 7 years to forge a way forward. Much of the steps were not planned but discovered in the journey and through the experience of others. I have one simple aim; to share these lessons, knowledge and experience with you.
